Job Description

Ready to be pushed beyond what you think you’re capable of?

At Coinbase, our mission is to increase economic freedom in the world. It’s a massive, ambitious opportunity that demands the best of us, every day, as we build the emerging onchain platform — and with it, the future global financial system.

To achieve our mission, we’re seeking a very specific candidate. We want someone who is passionate about our mission and who believes in the power of crypto and blockchain technology to update the financial system. We want someone who is eager to leave their mark on the world, who relishes the pressure and privilege of working with high caliber colleagues, and who actively seeks feedback to keep leveling up. We want someone who will run towards, not away from, solving the company’s hardest problems.

Our work culture is intense and isn’t for everyone. But if you want to build the future alongside others who excel in their disciplines and expect the same from you, there’s no better place to be.

While many roles at Coinbase are remote-first, we are not remote-only. In-person participation is required throughout the year. Team and company-wide offsites are held multiple times annually to foster collaboration, connection, and alignment. Attendance is expected and fully supported.

We are looking for a program manager to help support the Enterprise Systems and Technology Operations M&A program.

The Enterprise Systems and Technology Operations (ESTO) team sits in a critical part of supporting Coinbase’s growth, comprising both Enterprise Applications (EAA) and internal IT. Our goal is to be a catalyst for Coinbase by using 3rd-party enterprise applications; IT services and infrastructure; automation; and purpose-built software – all of which securely enables our global workforce and frees associates’ minds and time to focus on high-judgment tasks.

This role of Program Manager, M&A would help support integration efforts for mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in the Enterprise Systems and Technology Operations (ESTO) organization. This role would help to drive operational delivery of ESTO-wide M&A work, providing both support for specific M&As as well as overall program management. The role’s M&A work would vary widely, from work on small acquisitions to large strategic integrations.

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

    • Executing operational delivery for Coinbase’s IT and Enterprise Application M&A work to ensure tasks are planned and sequence appropriately
    • Building out and monitoring project success, including monitoring of overall project risk
    • Collaborate as needed with cross-functional teams such as Legal, Security, HR, and Product using appropriate channels/mechanisms
    • Be a champion for driving sustainable solutions that will help set up newly integrated teams for long-term success
    • Helping build detailed project plans, playbooks, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and other program artifacts
    • Manage other high-priority programs or projects for the IT and Enterprise Application teams as needed

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

    • Bachelor’s degree in, Business, Finance, Project/Program Management, or other related experience
    • 5+ years of proven experience in Program / Project Management, Business Analysis, or Product Operations
    • Motivated by Coinbase’s mission and crafting a seamless support experience for our global customer base, including a deep passion for products within the broader crypto space
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and comfortable with ambiguity
    • Project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced environment
    • Excellent communication (both written & verbal) and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
    • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally (up to 10%)

Nice to haves:

    • Previous experience in Tech, Crypto, Finance, or Fintech
    • Advanced understanding of Google Apps, Jira, Slack, and/or Salesforce
