About the Role

As Derivatives Sales Manager (India), you will be accountable for accelerating Coinbase Advanced’s derivatives growth in India. This is a senior individual contributor role you will not directly manage a team but will personally own end‑to‑end business development and sales execution: from strategy creation through client origination, coverage, negotiation, and onboarding. You will operate with significant autonomy, collaborating regionally and globally to deliver measurable market share and revenue growth in one of the most dynamic crypto economies.

What You’ll Be Doing

    • Originate, deepen, and expand high‑value relationships with VIP clients, crypto‑native high‑volume traders, and institutions primarily in India, with additional APAC coverage where relevant.
    • Design and execute targeted sales strategies to drive market penetration and revenue growth in derivatives trading.
    • Lead and own the full sales cycle: prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and onboarding, followed by ongoing account management to maximize trading volumes and client satisfaction.
    • Maintain and grow a robust pipeline in CRM, ensuring disciplined tracking, timely follow‑up, and reporting against targets.
    • Represent Coinbase at client meetings, industry events, and conferences in India and occasionally in APAC; act as a senior market ambassador.
    • Collaborate cross‑functionally with product, marketing, compliance, and operational teams to deliver client‑centric solutions tailored for the local market.
    • Capture and share market intelligence to influence Coinbase’s competitive positioning, product roadmap, and regional strategy.

What We Look For in You

    • 8+ years of relevant experience in sales, sales & trading, account management, or business development in tier‑1 financial institutions, cryptocurrency exchanges, or fintech.
    • Proven origination track record with existing relationships in India among VIP derivatives traders (crypto and/or traditional finance); APAC relationships are a plus.
    • Deep knowledge of derivatives markets, product structures, and risk management principles.
    • Strong commercial acumen and ability to close complex, high‑value deals independently.
    • History of exceeding revenue, volume, and growth targets in prior roles.
    • Strategic and proactive execution style, with ability to operate independently while collaborating across teams.
    • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills to influence senior stakeholders.
    • Willingness to travel primarily within India and occasionally to APAC (up to ~30%).
    • English fluency (spoken and written).
