20201 Business - Marketing - Square Demand Generationpreferred

Job Description

Since we opened our doors in 2009, the world of commerce has evolved immensely, and so has Square. After enabling anyone to take payments and never miss a sale, we saw sellers stymied by disparate, outmoded products and tools that wouldn't work together.

So we expanded into software and started building integrated, omnichannel solutions – to help sellers sell online, manage inventory, offer buy now, pay later functionality, book appointments, engage loyal buyers, and hire and pay staff. Across it all, we've embedded financial services tools at the point of sale, so merchants can access a business loan and manage their cash flow in one place. Afterpay furthers our goal to provide omnichannel tools that unlock meaningful value and growth, enabling sellers to capture the next generation shopper, increase order sizes, and compete at a larger scale.

Today, we are a partner to sellers of all sizes – large, enterprise-scale businesses with complex operations, sellers just starting, as well as merchants who began selling with Square and have grown larger over time. As our sellers grow, so do our solutions. There is a massive opportunity in front of us. We're building a significant, meaningful, and lasting business, and we are helping sellers worldwide do the same.

The Role

Square is looking for a Demand Generation Marketing Manager to help build new user growth through our programmatic channels (Display, Native, Streaming), with a focus on Amazon DSP. As a member of the Demand Generation team, you will be responsible for strategy, planning, and execution of programmatic campaigns for our core payments business and SaaS products.

This is an excellent role for candidates that have 3+ years of relevant experience and are excited to use their skills alongside a marketing team to build one of the strongest brands in Fintech. You have experience autonomously managing Programmatic campaigns and increasing efficiency through optimizations and testing. You will represent the Demand Generation team as a subject matter expert, responsible for informing strategy and implementing $XXM campaigns.

You Will

    • Independently manage end-to-end execution and operations of campaigns within Square's DSPs (Amazon, DV360) and direct buys, optimizing for performance goals. Manage campaign monitoring, pacing, optimization, tracking, and reporting.
    • Manage strategic relationships with important publisher partners and agencies, which includes negotiating favorable deals and ensuring programmatic best practices are followed.
    • Develop quarterly testing roadmaps and tactical plans to ensure internal goals are met. Design tests to prove out hypotheses and recommend performance optimizations.
    • Identify growth opportunities and refine strategies based on new insights and priorities.
    • Conduct analyses to diagnose issues and implement data-driven action plans.
    • Build relationships with other teams (creative, analytics, marketing data engineering, platform partners), providing subject matter expertise and helping prioritize and project manage projects
    • Communicate with stakeholders, partners, and manager on performance, blockers, and project deliverables

You Have

    • 3+ years of experience in programmatic advertising - both direct and via DSPs, within a B2B environment managing campaigns with a $XXM budget.
    • Hands-on keyboard experience in DSPs (Amazon, DV360, TTD, etc).
    • Experience in ad trafficking. Understand how to troubleshoot ad tags and pixel firing/implementation.
    • Experience managing successful partnerships with publishers.
    • Experience driving measurable conversion or revenue results.
    • Identify and action off of data-informed insights
    • Excellent project management skills and organization
