Coinbase Institutional Sales Team is dedicated to empowering institutional clients by providing tailored solutions that leverage Coinbase's comprehensive suite of cryptocurrency products and services. Team members engage with a diverse range of clients, including businesses and advanced retail traders, to identify their unique needs and demonstrate how Coinbase can meet them. Responsibilities include prospecting potential clients, supporting senior sales efforts, and nurturing existing relationships to drive growth and enhance client satisfaction. With a strong emphasis on market intelligence and collaboration across various departments, the team plays a crucial role in positioning Coinbase as a leader in the rapidly evolving crypto landscape. Ideal candidates are passionate about the crypto industry, possess strong communication skills, and thrive in a dynamic environment.

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

    • Prospecting & Lead Qualification: Conduct targeted research to identify potential clients (e.g., institutions, corporates, hedge funds) who could benefit from Coinbase's products and services. Initiate outbound communication (email, calls, social media) to qualify leads and introduce Coinbase's value proposition.
    • Sales Support:Assist senior sales team members in all phases of the sales cycle, including preparing presentations, proposals, and client-facing materials. Schedule and coordinate meetings, follow up on outstanding items, and ensure seamless communication.
    • Product Knowledge & Evangelism: Develop a deep and nuanced understanding of Coinbase's diverse product suite (e.g., Coinbase Prime, financing, staking, derivatives, etc.). Articulate complex crypto concepts clearly and persuasively to prospective clients.
    • CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline progress in our CRM system (e.g., Salesforce).
    • Client Relationship Nurturing: Support ongoing relationships with existing clients, addressing inquiries, and identifying opportunities for cross-selling or up-selling in collaboration with senior team members.
    • Market Intelligence: Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments within the crypto space. Provide valuable market feedback to internal product, marketing, and leadership teams.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Marketing, Legal, and Operations to ensure a cohesive client experience and achieve collective goals.
    • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize sales processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall client journey.
